"Alright now, that's a big assumption. I mean what if I didn't and--" Rem was positive he had a hold of Annie enough that he wouldn't on accident, and he wouldn't anyways, but he made the gesture of almost dropping her and then holding her securely against him again as he whispered in her ear, "But I'd regret it. You're too much fun to be around."

Plus he valued her trust too if he had it from her. He had learned to trust her that was for sure, and not be so paranoid about little things.

"I just hate when it gets too silent. It's more of what's in the silence that scares the hell out of me."

Annie had loosened her grip on Remington the longer they stood up there, more comfortable with the height and him not dropping her. Or, that was, until she felt gravity hitting her. She shrieked, clutching at his shirt even as he held her closer and back to the secure way he'd been holding her before. It was funny how fast the reaction was; her body had automatically started shaking, her eyes squeezed painfully shut, her heart beating ridiculously fast. Breathing quickly, she registered his comment about regretting it afterwards.

She peeked open an eye at him, half-heartedly glaring as she childishly told him, "Meanie."

Of course, Annie could understand where being unhappy with the silence came from. "Well I guess even if you're alone that's what like...music, is for, or something." She responded, even if her voice was a little higher-pitched.

"You alright?" he asked, though his tone was a little amused.

He wouldn't have actually dropped her and had he not been able to her in his arms in time he would attempted to be at the bottom before she hit it. Which as dramatic as a scenario as that was it at least didn't happen.

"I tend to read. I spend most of my time in the library at my house than anywhere else."

Considering there was three floors and tons of rooms to it it was funny that he basically only used that one and his room.

"I'm going to put you down okay? If it makes you uncomfortable then don't look down--just look at me."

Remington did but he also kept his arms around her waist just in case.

Because his tone sounded more like he was going to laugh at her, Anastasia didn't grace his question with an answer, instead just opened her other eye, and let out a long, gusty breath. It took her a minute, but her heart was starting to slow down a little, and she even loosened her fingers on the handfuls of his shirt she had grabbed a little.

"What's your library look like?" She finally asked. Naturally, as a writer, she was enchanted by libraries of all sorts - and especially the ones that she was in.

When he said he was going to put her down though, her eyebrows furrowed slightly, tightening her grip on him again even as he set her down. Her legs were a little shaky, so she just held onto him, but instead of looking at him, she just buried her face against his shoulder.

"Okay."

"Two levels. Spiral staircase of sorts to get to the second and there's all rows of shelves on the second. The first there's shelves against the walls and a sort of lounge area. I like to sit between the rows though and read."

Couches or not it was more fun to sit between the shelves of books and read there completely surrounded by it all. It was funny though as he made sure to keep his arms securely around Annie and her hiding her face in his shoulder that he wasn't against it. On the contrary he was content.

"What other sort of things do you like to do besides write? Like other hobbies."

"What kind of wood?" Anastasia was using a visual process to make the fear of falling go away again, loving to picture libraries. They were a safe point, a place where nothing bad could happen that wasn't able to be resolved, a place to lose herself in, surrounded by that book smell, and clean wood...a place where time didn't matter..

She was already feeling calmer.

"That sounds really amazing. Uhm..." Annie paused for a second, almost shyly answering, "I sketch, a lot. I like to be able to see what I'm writing or remember what I'm seeing. And... I play the piano and flute, and I love dancing. Like, dancing at clubs, but also ballroom dancing? And I love watching older movies. You know, the black and white ones, with the classic hairdos and cheesy lines?"

"Dark cherry wood."

He couldn't even keep count anymore of how many times that house had gone under construction. He just didn't like it the first dozen or so times and it never felt right. As much of a pain as it was it paid off. Now, however, he was listening to Annie as she responded to his question.

"My mother taught me how to ballroom dance. Said it'd be useful someday but I think she got that wrong," Remington told her, a amused sort of smile on his face. "The old movies are the best. I think they captured what was needed more than movies do today."

"Oh pretty..." Annie breathed out, nodding her approval. "I've always dreamed of having a fairytale house, you know? With a huge Beauty and the Beast library and a Swan Princess garden pond and woods like Snow White and a Cinderella town and...well you get the point. Those are just like, you know. Expensive. And there's not much point for me to do all that work and make it perfect for me when I'm just going to be gone probably before it's finished and the next person is going to change it."

She shrugged a little, and then lifted her face slightly, resting her chin instead where her face had sat. Just holding onto him at the moment was what she needed.

"Well good!" Or not. She pulled away slightly to look at him, her face lighting up again, "It can be useful, you can dance with me!" She loved to dance. "And I totally agree. And there's just something about like, how different and glamourous things were back then in the movies."

"Well, I can't say I have woods or ponds, but there's an old room that I suppose someone would have held parties in. Probably my great grandmother since I inherited it from her, but it has the white and black checkered floor and a chandelier. I haven't used it though so it's locked up."

It was one room he actually hadn't touched. It was just the same old way it was when-ever it happened to be used the last time. The key was probably somewhere in a drawer in the library or the study on the third floor. Hard to say.

"To the beat of our own music?" he asked, if she had meant now though with the heights factor he doubted it. "These days it seems like it's more about the fame than the story of the movie."

"You have a ballroom too??" Annie asked, blinking. "What, do you live in a castle or something??"

He kept on surprising her with where he lived, what his house looked like...she was beginning to want to see it for herself. It sounded so magnificent, so genteel and well structured...so big...

But of course, he then asked if she would want to dance by their own rhythm, and she smiled at him, humming softly as she took a step back - carefully- and took his hand, her other resting on his shoulder. "Why not?"

Well, other than the fact that they were thousands of feet - maybe even hundreds of thousands of feet - in the air on a weathered and crumbly old historical landscape.

His comment about the movies caused her to nod, though she had to smile and say, "I'd love for one of my books to be made into a movie though. Just so that everyone else can see my vision."

"It's not as big as you think. On the outside it looks like a normal house really."

Or to him it did. He grew up in large houses all his life though so he didn't really think there was much of a difference. He didn't verbally respond to her comment as he instead put his hands on her waist and carefully took steps to the music that came to mind for that sort of thing.

"That would be pretty cool," Remington said. "I think you could do it."

His curiousity about her writing though did make him more curious about the books themselves and he had thought about reading one or two. He hadn't found the time, however, to get much of anywhere with that.

Annie laughed, "If it has a library that big, and a ballroom? That's not a normal house, love. That's like...a mansion, at the very least."

Like, her house in New York was lavish, yes. She grew up with marble and a silver-spoon, thanks to her parents, but she didn't live in one now. She had a nice apartment, and that really was good enough for her. Of course, here, she was in a nice hotel. It didn't quite feel like settling, yet, even though she'd been there for nearly half a year.

She beamed when he stepped forward and positioned himself, keeping the tune up between speaking. They couldn't really do a lot up there, but it was enough.

"Well I'm brandnew, really, Give me another five years and I might be on tv. You should watch for me."

For a moment, Annie paused her movements and instead leaned up to kiss his cheek, realizing that she hadn't yet told him how much she appreciated what he'd done.

"Thank you so much for this. All of this."

"Alright, maybe it's not a typical house."

A few hummed notes of music he imagined listening to came past his lips every now and again between words, sometimes without thinking really. Nodding,

"I definitely will."

Remington was sure she had the ability to get noticed in that way. Be it her personality or not, he didn't think she'd have any problems. He smiled as Annie kissed his cheek, and he merely shrugged his shoulder's.

"It's no problem. It's nice to be able to hang out with someone."

"It's not." Annie told him, with a slight laugh. With him singing along to though, her smile grew brighter, forgetting herself. The encouragement, the settling, the rush of being on the top of the Colosseum? It all added up to cause it to be so much easier to be happy. Here, there was no rain. Here, there was no back-stabbing bitches, nor clones. Just herself, and Remington, up on top of the world.

"Maybe..." She started thumb brushing the hair at the back of his neck, "You'll even see a scene that you can recognize." After all, his visit to her the last time...as delicious as it was? She had to write it. She had to, there was no choice about it. And now, she would never forget how she felt about it, never forget the little details.

"Well I like hanging out with you and this..." She ventured a look around herself again, glad to say that she was perfectly entranced with the view and not the height, "This is just incredible."

"Oh? I'll be watching for sure then."

So far the whole visit had kept him in a good mood. No potion frustrations or attempting to get things finished for future plans. It was a whole lot easier to be there dancing with Annie and forgetting all that. He was glad at least to hear that she was enjoying herself as well.

"I'm glad you like it. I wanted someplace that was...storybook like I guess the word is."

Annie laughed, "Well things were pretty damn hot in my bed, I'm not going to lie. I had to write it down, so I could remember. And then it turned into an entire scene."

She hoped he didn't mind that. It wasn't like they used their names; she had a variety of scenes and she pulled and adapted to what she was writing in a couple folders she always had near her laptop. Honestly, it was more of a compliment than anything, to create a situation that made her feel enough to want to write it, and keep it.

He did have quite the talented lips...she glanced at them for a moment, before snapping back into the conversation. "It's perfect. Just, absolutely magical. I can't believe I'm dancing on top of the Colosseum!"

"Yet look how tame you are now. I never know what to expect with you," Remington told her.

He didn't mind her writing it. It may have been one of those paranoid fears before but now he truthfully trusted her enough to be fine with it.

"There's a lot of places I think you'd like in Italy. Museums, cafe's, cathedrals..." He shrugged his shoulder's. Most of them he was assuming she'd like out of what he had found out about her.

"I could not be tame." Anastasia told him, grinning a little, "I just didn't know if that was a you-biting-me-only clause. Which, by the way, I don't know if I said this more than just implying it but if you ever need like, actual blood or whatever even if I'm not being bitten to become a vampire just... like. You know." She shrugged. There wasn't really a good way to say it, to be honest. Oh, you can suck my blood anytime you want, baby.

The thought just made her giggle,

"Well maybe you can be my tour guide. Personal, of course. I don't tend to like to share those. And we can just make periodic trips? England is driving me nuts. Seriously. This break is much needed."

Remington merely grinned at first and leaned to her ear to say the response.

"If that's an invitation..."

By the way she had worried the rest of it he figured she wasn't sure how to say it, but he got it. A simple do the math sort of thing. Besides, it wouldn't be just beneficial to himself. Leaning away then,

"Personal tour guide,"
he repeated, nodding. "I could handle that."

Away from the rain and stress of England, and to Italy to see places with Annie? Who needed to question that?

"It was." Annie agreed mischievously, laughing once again when he turned his head back towards her and she leaned forward to kiss him, forgetting for the moment that they had been dancing, that they were way too high in the air for her to be that distracted, and that he hadn't exactly indicated he wanted her to kiss him other than their teasing banter.

Instead, all that she focused on - as super charged as her mind was on the romanticism of the situation - was his hands, flat against her back, supporting her, his lips against hers, a brief moment where time didn't matter and all there was left was them.

"Good." She finally told him, rubbing her thumb against her lips for a moment, before she suggested, "Maybe we can actually just go to a cafe now? Near the cathedrals?"

He could keep her warm, right? Clearly.

A short while later they were gone, a black residue dispersing into the air.
